Advent Week 3: The Humility of Incarnation
Read:
Philippians 2:1-11
Reflect:
1. What is most striking to you about God's humility in the incarnation?
2. How have you seen the impact of humility in your own life?
3. Why is Jesus’s physical body so important for our redemption?
4. How could you profit this week from ‘pretending’ to be Christ?
5. In prayer, respond to God about the ways in which the humility of the incarnation invites you to know him better.
Pray:
Stir up your power, O Lord, and with great might come among us; and, because we are sorely hindered by our sins, let your bountiful grace and mercy speedily help and deliver us; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honor and glory, now and for ever. Amen.
